In my professional practice as a principal with The Sextant Group, I focus on improving connection, communication and collaboration through insight into intelligent building technologies working with architects and designers for our clients in business, education, healthcare and government.  


An architect by training, a collaborative communications technologist by practice, I found my passion in strategic marketing. I hold a BS in Architecture from California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, and have completed continued education programs in Microprocessor Technology at New York University and Leadership at the Advanced Management Institute in San Francisco.


I am is a Fellow and past national president of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS). I was honored by SMPS as the 1994 Chapter President of the Year, 1995 Distinguished Life Member, 2005 SF Chapter William B. Hankinson Award for Lifetime Achievement, and the 2007 national Weld Coxe Marketing Achievement Award for my career accomplishments. 


I serve as the Chair of Professional Development for the North Central Region of the Society of College and University Planning (SCUP), and am planning committee Chair for the Region's annual Conference to be held in Omaha, October 28-30, 2019.


I am an Associate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and have served on the AIA Omaha Chapter board, and on committees and task forces for AIA Los Angeles, AIA San Francisco, and AIA Nebraska. 


I been active in the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association (AVIXA) for over 40 years, and have served on their Board of Governors, Executive Committee, Leadership Development Council, and was the founding chair of their Independent Consultants In Audiovisual Technology (ICAT) Council.
